Influencers have taken over social media, and it’s affecting today’s youth. Teenagers base their every decision--from what they wear to how they act--on their favorite celebrities. So, what causes us to rely so much on their opinions? The answer is simple: they are influencers.
Influencers are trendsetters that have accumulated millions of followers on a social media platform. Their main message is to spread positivity and try to form connections within the social media community. However, there are times when that façade can start to fade. Take Jake Paul for example. A former Disney Channel star, Paul faced great backlash in 2018 for “making his neighborhood a living hell.” These allegations came after Paul set furniture on fire for his YouTube Channel, which currently has nearly 20 million subscribers. Jake Paul has been notorious for being reckless, to say the least. More recently, Paul staged a marriage with fellow YouTuber Tana Mongeau for publicity.

Then looking for a pet, some people lack information on whether they should adopt or get one from a breeder. There are many thoughts that come to people’s minds when making the decision. Adopting and buying a pet are both really good ways to find your new lovable friend. However, there are many differences between them.
Most adoption centers sell purebreds and other dogs, called mutts. A breeder is a person who breeds livestock, racehorses, other animals, and certain kinds of plants. Most breeders only sell purebreds, which are dogs that were only one breed of dog. However, mutts are dogs that are more than one breed. When buying from a breeder, you know exactly what type of dog you are getting. You know where the dog has come from and how it has been trained. Breeders aren’t guaranteed that your dog will be only one breed, but most breeders also offer genetic testing. If you are buying from a breeder, your pet will already be socialized. When buying from a breeder, you would usually pay more than $1,000 for a dog. Breeders charge the puppy fee, plus a breeding fee.
